Store Policy
Payment
- We accept all major credit cards via Stripe, Apple Pay, or Google Pay secured payment services.
- Charge Validation: OceanboxDesigns.com orders will appear as "OBD_Order #XXXXXX" on your statement.
- Shop safe: Your credit card information is never stored on our website.
- All sensitive data is encrypted through our secure checkout process (look for the "lock icon" in the link).
Taxes
- By law, we’re required to collect sales tax in Texas and California and other applicable states.
- For international orders, import taxes (VAT) are not inclusive in the total. While we do not collect them, you are solely responsible for these charges as imposed by your country’s law upon or before delivery.
- Import duty taxes are imposed by your country’s local tax law – do not confuse them for additional charges by Oceanbox Designs®.
Shipping and Handling
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and include handling and packaging costs, not just postage.
- Free shipping offer is available for U.S. residents only. *Excluding merch and 3rd party products.
- For your purchase protection, shipping addresses cannot be changed once an order is placed.
- To change the shipping address for any unshipped order, please place a new order and contact us to cancel the existing order.
Order Processing
- We ship most orders within 3–7 business days unless stated otherwise. Expect lead time for built-to-order products.
- In rare circumstances, you will be notified via email if your order requires extended processing for quality assurance.
- To improve your purchase experience, we may send after-purchase product review requests via email.
Order Cancellation
- Paid orders may be cancelled within 4 hours if they have not been processed or shipped yet.
- Cancelled orders will incur a deduction of 3.5% (4.3% for international) for payment processing fees, as we don’t receive a refund from our payment provider on refunds.
- Store credit can be requested to be issued in full to avoid this deduction.
- Orders cancelled due to any errors on our part (out of stock or can’t be fulfilled) will receive a full refund with no deduction.
Returns and Refunds
- We accept returns on new and unopened items, as well as items with significant workmanship defects (which is extremely rare).
- All refunds will incur a 3.5% (4.3% for international) non-refundable payment processing fee and outbound shipping deduction. Outbound shipping includes costs we incur to ship your order to you (including free shipping orders).
- Non-defective items returned due to a change of mind or undeliverable addresses are subject to a 20% restocking fee. This covers payment processing, arrival inspection, repackaging, inventory management, and related costs.
- When returning items, you are responsible for sending them back to us in the original (or agreed) condition, to ensure no damage or further deductions incur.
- All returns must arrive back to us within 30 days from the original shipment.
